Chocolate paws

Christmas cookies are usually very sweet and before you know it the whole family has got a sugar shock! These little chocolate paws are pleasantly herbal bitter and just slightly sweet. A potential favorite biscuit for all chocoholics ;-)

For 2 baking trays:
1 1/2 - 2 oz. flour (50g)
6 oz. starch (170g)
3 oz. icing sugar (80g)
1 oz. cocoa (30g)
1 sachet vanilla sugar
1/2 lb. margarine (200g)
2 tbsp. soy milk

3-4 oz. dark chocolate coating (100g)

Mix the flour, starch, sugar and cocoa. Work it together with the margarine and milk to a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a foil and chill it for about half an hour. Then shape the dough into a loaf and cut of oval cookies. Imprint the fork on one side of the cookie. Bake them at 360°F (180°C) for about 12 minutes.
Coat the plain side of the paws with the dark chocolate and and let them chill once again.

Red lentil soup

Voilà - todays diner.

For 3-4 portions:

1/2 leek
1 piece of parsley root
1 piece of celery
1 cup of red lentils
3 carrots
1 kohlrabi / stem cabbage
1 quart of water (1 liter)
2 tbsp. sunflower oil
salt, pepper

Cut the leek into rings and dice the celery and parsley root. Roast it gently in some oil, then add the lentils. Season well and deglaze with water. Cut the kohlrabi and carrots finely and add them. Let everything simmer till it's done.

If you like to you can also add potatoes or (like we did) enjoy it with some self-baked bread.

I wish you a lot of fun with cooking this recipe.
